Terms of use
Version 2026-10
1. The work and its owner
The guide made available through this site (the "Toolkit") is a literary work protected by copyright. Its copyright is registered with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. All rights are reserved by its owner.
2. What your access allows
Your account gives you, and only you, a personal, non-transferable licence to read the Toolkit for your own exam preparation, on the one computer registered to your account (a Windows PC or a Mac, not both), using our Reader. You do not receive a copy of the Toolkit and you do not acquire any ownership of it.
3. What is not allowed
- Sharing your login, or letting another person read through your account.
- Copying, photographing, screenshotting, recording, transcribing or printing any part of the Toolkit.
- Publishing, selling, lending, teaching from, or otherwise distributing the Toolkit or anything derived from it, in any form or language.
- Removing or altering any watermark or identifying mark.
- Bypassing, modifying or reverse-engineering the Reader or the protections on the Toolkit.
- Requesting pages by automated means.
4. How copies are identified
Every page you are shown carries your account name as a visible watermark, together with identifying marks that are not visible. Page requests are logged against your account. If any part of the Toolkit is found outside this site, these marks allow us to identify the account it came from.
5. If these terms are broken
We may suspend or end your access immediately and without refund. Unauthorised copying or distribution of a registered work is an infringement of copyright, and the owner may pursue the remedies available under the Copyright Act of Canada and the laws of other countries, including damages.
6. What we store about you
To provide and protect the service we store: your name and email address; an identifier of the computer you register (a one-way fingerprint, not its contents); the dates and pages you view; the internet address your requests come from; and any messages you send us. We use this only to give you access, to answer you, and to enforce these terms. We do not sell it or share it, except where the law requires or to act on an infringement.
7. The service
Reading requires an internet connection and a Windows or Mac computer. We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may update the Reader or the Toolkit. The Toolkit is a study aid: it does not guarantee any exam result or immigration outcome.
8. No affiliation
The Toolkit is an independent work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by France Éducation International, the organiser of the TCF, or by any government body.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; if they change in substance you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing. Questions can be sent through the Contact support button on your dashboard or the request form on the home page.
